The Similan Islands National Park, is located 85 km north-west of Phuket island and 70 km west of Khao Lak. It consists of several islands known for long coral beaches of white sand, crystal clear waters and provides some of the best landscapes in Thailand. The islands are home to a wide variety of marine life, of which many are rare and endangered species. It is the best place for diving and snorkeling in Thailand and one of the best diving spots in the world.
The Phang Nga Bay National Park cruise is the second most popular activity in the region. The area is located 25 km north-east of Phuket and is made up of numerous limestone outcrops from the water. The most famous is James Bond Island, with its "needle" shape of limestone, set of the film "007 - The man with the golden gun".
The Phi Phi Islands Tour is the most popular excursion in the region: located 40 km south-east of Phuket, this archipelago consists of six islands. The main ones are Phi Phi Don, and Phi Phi Lek, with the famous Maya Bay, location of the movie "The Beach". The Phi Phi Islands are famous for their limestone cliffs surfacing in emerald green waters, for white beaches and coral reefs that offer diving and snorkeling to visitors.
